Go Big Red!

GO BIG RED!!

Was able to cheer for the Huskers Football all the way here in New York with my New York friends! Alex, who grew up in Nebraska with me hosted the party, was thank him for that since I do not have Big Ten Network Channel. It was grateful that was able to get together and watch the game and WE WON which totally made my night. Even our friends aren't Husker fan but we about to inject Husker blood into them, they are about to get it into their roots by wearing our Husker t'shirt and cheer with us!! That night was LOT of fun, am telling you!! :)

Hiking Letchworth

Hiking Letchworth State Park was LOT of fun this time! Vincent and I joined a Outgoing Club at RIT. They set up outdoor events on weekends or weekdays and join them whenever we can. It's pretty neat way to get out and meet new people. That day we hiked for at least 4-5 hours around the entire park along with beautiful weather! We both enjoyed our time there.

Enjoy the pictures from the hike!

Back in Rochy...

(Plane back to ROC from ORD)

Here I am back in Rochester... it was pretty insane when I landed.

I had to go direct to get my car from a good friend of mine who took care of it whole time while was in Nebraska. After that got gas then head to get my fingerprinting done for an intern at DePaul, which wasn't successful after the 3th trip i made there!

Arrived home found out am roommate with 4 guys, who are RIT students and hearing, esp for one who is hard of hearing. I had a little concern at first but after awhile i met them it wasn't too bad, just hope they will clean up after themselves! haha

Class and intern had begin, am just taking one class at the Metro and intern class biweekly at the main campus in Brockport. However, not got position for intern yet- which has been driving me crazy but I had to trust God that I will get one at Strong where I want to be at instead of DePual. We see how that goes, once it comes! Pray for Strong please- :)

Otherwise, it's nothing new to be back just wish had more time back in Nebraska. I got to Thank my gig buds and other friends to make me feel comfortable here once again!

Thank the Lord for a safe trip back and wonderful time back home in Nebraska, KC and Iowa. <><

Hurricane Irene

On Sunday Aug 29, 2011 was able to experience hurricane weather for the first time in my life!

It was neat experience but at the same time little scary! Was at a surprise engagement party up at Ontario Lake about 24 minute East of Rochester for Alex and Rach. We were having the party in a shed at the park up there. It was fun since it was SO WINDY up to about 35 mph wind (half of what is at the bull eye). The waves were very high than normal. We played volleyball, swing, watched the waves, and drooling to go surfing with double headers! The party it self was successful and FUN in the hurricane Irene.

I've attached some video and picture from that day- click on the picture below and enjoy!

Time in Nebraska

My time in Nebraska this summer was wonderful, the longer I stay the time is worth!

Most of my time been traveling between my parents in Osmond and Omaha with my aunt and uncle where most of my friends are.

While in Osmond, been spending lot of time with my 3 little munkins (cousins). They are so much fun to be with, esp for the little one she's a turd and makes me laugh! We have been going swimming, go on walks to park, visit grandma, spend a night in the camper on 4th of July weekend and much more you can think of! Also visit my grandparents in Wausa and grandma only 2 house up the street from my parent's, had good dinner with her and catch up. Of course spend quality time with my parents, we did many things together. Went golfing with my dad one day, which we played VERY well! We were just 3 strokes above the golf course's par score. It was a beautiful day on the course. As for mom, sister and I took her out for a Spa day for her birthday, it was lot of fun that day. She got her hair done, pedicure, 30 mins message, and  went out for lunch. At the same time, I grab the opportunity to get my hair colored too. It was neat day to just spoil my mom for once!We also have been soo busy toward the end of July and into August with my sister's new duplex in Lincoln, remodeling and doing many house projects. Other than that, relax at home and gone to a wedding nearby for a good friend of ours in Norfolk. It's never an dull moment at my parent's, but it's nice to have a little bit down time and visit with my parents and other loved ones!

In Omaha, it's where my life is on the go, been busy get ready for my best friend's wedding like I mentioned in My Best Friend's Wedding... post. It was lot of fun get ready for that. Also hanging out with a good friend of mine Brian and other friends. Of course cannot forget my cousins who lives in Omaha, went rock climbing, wine tasting, and shopping. Also been attending Church of Christ for the Deaf in Council Bluffs every Sunday, people there are friendly and LOVE their sermons! God's so good.

Made two trips out of Nebraska with Brian to Des Monies for Adventure Land and Kansas City to water parks. Also got the opportunity visit and stay with Angie in KC. Which was lot of FUN! Both water parks was nice but I prefer Ocean Of Fun out of all, however we were supposed to go to Schlitterbahn water park but all the rides weren't open so decide not worth our money to go, was bummed out but had great day tho! Will go back when all are open!

About two months in Nebraska was pretty the longest I've stay since  I left RIT. The more I stay longer the more I want to move back, but am not done with school yet. Maybe look into Masters at UNMC, only if God allows that to happen! :-)

Thank to all my family and friends for WONDERFUL times... Love and Miss you all!!<3<3

My time at CCD

Church of Christ for the Deaf in Council Bluffs is where I have been attending whenever am in Nebraska since 2010. I was introduced to this church trough my best friend Amanda back in January 2010, then week later I met Brian and been attend there ever since!

This church's sermon is in American Sign Language and voice interpreted. The sermons lately has been so fascinate that I cannot be distracted! Which is so good because I felt was loosing my relationship with God, since I do not really read the bible, I admit! I love to listen to sermons and read bible when I can! But at this church, I felt MUCH closer with God because their sermon most of the time matches my daily life what I am struggling or am seeking for. So far, Chad, Dave, Jose, Alex and Linsey has been doing GREAT job sermon God's message to us!

One thing about this church that changed me with my daily habit, is praying. Before I would forget to pray before eating or bed. Before the sermon begins we would stand in circle and go around everyone there and say a prayer. It's very NEAT to see how they pray and how they communicate with God. It's just amazing how they do it, at the same time it DOES teach me how to communicate with God better every-time I step up and say a prayer. It's a great feeling afterwards!

I still attend Open Door Baptist Church here in Rochester, this church is where I was baptized and grew to be alike Christ. However, CCD will always be in my heart and attend whenever am back in Omaha.

It be AWESOME if CCD videos their sermon just our church at ODBC does but no close caption or catch the interpreter.. pretty insane cuz we have large number of Deaf Member attend this church!

God just been wonderful by providing a church for me to attend wherever I go!
