Week at Copper...

Sorry for the lack of posting over my vacation at Copper Mountain, after the first day it got super busy and too much relaxing in between. The first 3 days were terrible just so much as my previous post, lot of crud and not as good it was supposed to be.

On Tuesday night we spent our night in Breckenridge shopping around and ate at Eric's a yummy local bar/restaurant. Wednesday night we went to Japanese restaurant at Copper Village, it wasn't too great for sushi as we thought it would be. Thursday night we dine at the condo which was the most Delicious ribs I ever had!

On Wednesday night and morning we finally had chuck of snow on the mountain, it was little difficult for me to ski at first since was used to curds and thin snow. I kept on falling and falling then finally afternoon runs were much better! It was same for Thursday morning runs had no fall and switched to different type of skis in the afternoon.

Friday we headed back up northeast to Nebraska and dropped off the boyfriend at Denver airport back to California to his hometown to have Christmas with his family.

Lets pray and hope the next time we come back to Copper it would be MUCH better on the slopes to ski/board on!

Here are the photos- Enjoy!

Copper Day 1...

Weather: Sunny/ 43*
Ski Lifts Open: 14 out of 22
Trials open: 52 out of 135

Our morning runs went well with plenty groomed snows, which made our skiing/boarding much easier.

Afternoon runs were terrible!!! Since it was sunny and warm snow had melt then became curd snow (not slushy but ICY!) It was pretty tough to ski on. I did slipped on a crud, slide down the hill for good minute without stopping- it was scary and crazy! It was kinda embrassaing because it was right by the lifts and whoever were on the lifts saw the WHOLE thing! Too bad I cannot hear what they would say, bummers! But my boyfriend and others saw it, i was practically going into the woods or off orange boundries. Snow was all over my face, gloves, and even inside my coat and pants- ugh. I did laugh afterwards, result of this accident is headache and SORE neck. Haha After that run did another run and said "lets called it a day"!

As for Vincent, was very impressed that he is a fast boarder which I do not have to worry about teach or wait for him down the slope. We both go at the same pace. He did fell few times not as much I did haha. He is really enjoying his time, tho!

Lets see what tomorrow have in storage for us even it said it likely to snow- WHOOT!

Picture of the Day: (GRR I left behind my camera cord in Rochy- "sobbs")

However. found a picture that pretty much of looked like when i was slick down the hill on crud snow

Arriving Copper...

Ahh... Vincent and I finally made it to Denver after missing our first flight due to our ride not show up. We were on standby at first but Thank God they got us a seat to Chicago to our connection to Denver (the earliest out as possible).

Our first flight was well, we grab some yummy Gourmet popcorn at our layover in Chicago and relaxed till our next connection.

Second flight was interesting, because I was assigned to sit in first class seats while the boyfriend had to sit way in the back of the plane. I totally felt bad that he didn't get the chance, even we tried to get him pushed up. Had nice "snack or dinner" and some drinks, however realized first class is not my thing! Anyways, yes we made it to Denver by 5:30pm several hours later from our original flight (1:30pm).

While in Denver we made few stops before heading to Copper Mountain. Arrived to our family condo and pretty much hit the sack since we both were exhausted from traveling and stressful morning.

Now looking forward to skiing in the morning! I can't believe how much I miss the Mountains. God's amazing by bring us both "safe and sound" to Copper. <><

Rookie at Dog-sitting...

It's my first time dog sitting ever, it doesn't count when I took care of my neighbor's dog (Boo)- dad did the most I bet! Anyways, am taking care of my co-worker dog Cody and his daughter's 2 guinea pigs.

So far I survived first night BUT woke up found Cody had peed - AHH! Even through am disappointed in him because Brian my co-worker told me he will wake me up to go outside around 6-7am, and didn't! Even though I did woke up 6am to see if he was nearby and again 6:30am which he wasn't and decide to get up to take him out anyways since he didn't try to wake me up. Hope this not gonna happen again tomorrow morning! My Goal is to take him out 6am no matter what! Ha

However, I noticed after taking Cody out and feed the guinea pigs, I felt so productive at 7am and decide to start my day from there. Also their home is exactly what i want for my future house, so it obvious made me so comfortable to make myself like home! Pro- is made my thanksgiving a mini vacation! Heetee Huge Thanks to the Doanes!

Cody is very friendly and fun dog to be around with. He is a Lab and poodle breed dog. Will be take care of him till Sunday night when the family return from their vacation.

fill in the blank friday...

1.   A nervous habit I have is   biting my nails, tapping my leg, or sign very fast as I could   .

2.   Something that makes me sad is  children been kidnapped, abortion, abused, and neglected totally wreck my heart! Those children are innocent, they just young and still learning    .

3.  Today I am thankful for   too many things but major is having God in my life, wonderful friends and family, place to live, good paying job, and car to get me around      .

4. My favorite room in my house is    my bedroom for now, at my parent's it be in the living rooms where I can see what is going on with my family   .

5.  I can't stand    greedy, self-centered and selfish people, am sorry but they need to learn to think of others .

6.  If I had an extra $100 to spend on whatever I wanted today I would   I would put it into my saving box for my coming up Europe & missionary trip/ if i was forced to buy something it would be new running/walking shoes by Merrell  .

7.  The last person I hung out with was    my lovely boyfriend- I feel so calm and peaceful around him- always have GREAT hanging with him  .

My Friday went alright, had dentist appt- was numb from upper left mouth to my left eyes, it made me SOO sleepy and it totally never happened before (am not physical tired at all) ?! Even had different appt later in the afternoon at URMC, thought I  was felling asleep front of my therapist and interpreter- (it was funny). After that had to go direct to work from 3-7pm and yes i am still sleepy- Geez! Am supposed to babysit 3 girls tonite but I do not want to fell asleep on those girls. Better idea is to go home and heal this ODD sleepy eyes. The boyfriend is out of town for a week to his home town San Jose, CA- lucky him! :)

Living By The Stars- Sagittarius

I've never really follow horoscope of my birthday Sagittarius (Nov 26)- coming up VERY soon, but came cross this website on Glo they gave excellent example of who I am and  forecast of my future.

Your Birthday

Sagittarius resides in the zodiac's ninth house, which is known as home to the wanderers. Plan to travel this birthday—however, not just any vacation will do. Since you tend to crave adventure, set off to discover an ancient civilization, such as the Mayan ruins of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula or Machu Picchu in Peru.
(true fact: was planning on flying home for my birthday to be able to attend the Nebraska vs Iowa football game, however, decided to stay here and earn some more mocha at work)

Your Style

Independent and free-spirited, Sagittarians aren't interested in what everyone else is wearing. Their style is as eclectic as they are, and often incorporates hints of the far-off places to which they've traveled.
(true fact: I am totally independent and free-spirited,- everything they say matches me so well... I don't judge people on what they wear (only unless can see their private then i will for sure make a brief comment)

Your Colors

For having such a sunny disposition, the colors associated with Sagittarius—rich purples, maroons and navy hues—are surprisingly moody. Which actually work for you because, being as outspoken as you are, you don't need to draw more attention to yourself with bright accessories.

(true fact: those are my favorite colors to wear, I do own several of those color clothes. I would like to paint my future house will be those colors to give it some living spirited feeling and look to the house! In addition, I am not fond of bright color only to hot pink and baby blue, just saying!)

Your Love Match

Sagittarians do best in romantic relationships born out of friendship. You're ideal mate is just as adventurous and full of energy as you are to keep you interested. You also need a partner who has an equally positive outlook on life. Your perfect match? An Aires.
(true fact: Interesting my boyfriend is a Virgo (Sept 22)- not an Aires. Anyways, adventurous and an equally positive outlook on life is totally my love match! Even my boyfriend does have that positive outlook on his life even we talk about our future together and a PRO about him he is adventurous too, loves to be outdoor and on the go. It's wonderful to have that kind of relationship! Sweet!)

Your Love No-No

The symbol of your sign, the archer, is often associated with the mystical half-man, half-horse centaur. Sagittarians are meant to be free—try to fence them in and they're likely to break out for good. Because it's essential that you retain your own sense of self when it comes to relationships, you can't be with a partner who tries to stifle your free spirit. A Scorpio would be your worst match.

(true fact: totally agree with this- if anyone ever tries to stifle my free-spirit, I will not be a happy person! - glad my boyfriend is not an Scorpio0- whew!)

Your Personality

Optimistic and confident—with a great sense of humor—Sagittarians are super fun to have around. However, given their straightforward nature and keen insight, they have a reputation for pointing out those painful truths. While being candid is admirable, be careful not to hurt those closest to you with your sharp tongue.

(true fact: That explain why I have so many wonderful friends who appreciates my company. Even seriously dislike having boring or dull time, rather have fun times chatting, laughing, be totally random, and ourselves- that explains why I'm fun to be around. Oh yeah, I am always careful not to hurt anyone of my friends or family with my sharp tongue, seriously I do not want them to feel down or upset!)

Your Luck

Ruled by Jupiter (the planet of abundance and higher learning), Sagittarius is the luckiest sign of the zodiac. Your positive disposition can't help but attract good fortune. However, such natural luck lends itself to being overly superstitious—a trait best kept under wraps.

(true fact: found this interesting actually ever knew was ruled by Jupiter!)

Your Mood

Above all else, Sagittarians hate to be bored. Day-to-day routines simply aren't their thing—they can't be bothered with mundane details. The downside of your restless nature is the tendency to procrastinate. Watch your urge to stray from the task at hand.
(true fact: EVerything explained about my mood is totally TRUE! Yes, I am champ at procrastinating with my homework and buncha of other stuff- whoops!)

Your Day Of TheWeek

Thursday is the curious archer's lucky day, but chances are you've got your sights on Friday. Take your day back by instituting a "Try This Thursday" policy, and plan to learn or do something new each week when your special day comes around.

(true fact: of course everyone is looking froward to Fridays- (just because I an always working or school during the week and not see my boyfriend or friends during the week)- also enjoy attend church on Sundays)

Your Date Night

Fun-loving Sagittarians are big fans of new activities. For you, date night should be an exhilarating adventure, preferably outdoors. Skydiving, white water rafting, go-kart racing or even an evening at your local amusement park are perfect options.

(true fact: oh my goodness- totally true! I am not a movie or dinner date type of person. Vincent and I went to a local cafe for a drink, then went to local diner for dinner, then ice skating but there were a hockey game going on so decided to stay and watch the game. It was rainy and crappy outside so couldn't do outdoor activities. However,t i do enjoy go-kart, white water rafting and much more!)

Your Home

Sagittarians often need a very relaxing and organized home. Always on the go, they crave a place to regroup. To create your ideal sanctuary, surround yourself with books, artifacts, exotic souvenirs and meaningful artwork.

(true fact: right now I am not actually settled down in a permanent home, however I do try my best to make my home relaxing and organized but it not easy with roommates- UgH! I do have meaningful artwork around my room- one picture frame of black white city of London and Europe scenes, have more but not chance to put up. As for my future permanent home it will be filled with European pictures, colors, and artwork.)

Your Money

Idealistic Sagittarians are equally bighearted and generous—they will fight for any cause that they believe in. Be the ultimate archer and donate to a women's rights organization that speaks to you.
(true fact: yupper that's me will fight for anything that I believe- even when it comes to Jesus our savior- no one is allowed to cross my mind and anything about Deafness, children, or whatever is on my mind.)

Your Workout

Archers tend to take on challenging sports that are accompanied by the right amount of risk. Easily bored, a routine workout at the gym is not for you. Since you're stimulated by the outdoors, take to extreme sports—such as cross-country skiing, rock climbing or mountain biking—to stay fit.
(true fact: it said all!! skiing is my favorite winter sport, as for summer is wakeboarding, mountain biking, hiking, much more! No wonder I haven't been to the gym for awhile over 2 years Whoops- now i got a excuse for not going to the gym- glad to be a Sagittarius)

Your Creative Outlet

Sagittarians are the universe's storytellers. Reading and writing (particularly plays), offer the perfect outlet for creative archers. However, with your love for initiating new projects, you run the risk of incompletion, so be sure to finish one undertaking before hurrying off to the next. If you need a break from your own project, then try going to the theater for creative inspiration.
(true fact: I had written my own 3 storyline of my favorite show Baywatch when I was young. Also one with my friends flying somewhere on a secret island (in 5th grade- not remember)- still do want to write a storyline of my own life but school is in the way unfortunately.)

Your Hobby

Born philosophers, Sagittarians have an affinity for new concepts and possess a deep-seated desire to understand life's mysteries. Whether it's reading a book by Eckhart Tolle, attending a lecture by Deepak Chopra, or taking a world religion course at a local college, your hobby should stimulate this thirst for knowledge.

(true fact: interesitn- am not a book worm kind of person, but I do find it interesting to take some world religion course to increase my knowledge to be able to approach someone with different belief than mine. Also my hobby of playing golf pretty much match this by stimulate my thirst of knowledge, this is where I develop my knowledge of my life by analyzing the course before hit my ball and etc.)

Your BFF

Sagittarians make excellent friends. Kindhearted, encouraging and witty, they are seldom jealous or possessive—and can't deal with a pal who is. Your ideal best friend is a gal who is genuine and just as straightforward, as Sagittarians hate passive aggressive behavior. A fellow archer would be a safe bet, while a Gemini could also make a fun travel partner.
(true fact: that explains why i have so many excellent friends that I would want to hang out with everyday, they rare make me jealous (not a jealous person) everything on earth is temporary and i do not need everything I want. Oh yeah no kidding about aggressive behavior ones, they give me headaches haha)

However, I personal do not worship over horoscope just curious. Why? Because the Lord is my fortune-telling, he knew me before I was born and knows what my future would be since he had created me. (Exodus 20:3, Proverbs 3:5-6, and Act 4:12) <><

Ohhhh Whoopie Pies...

Seriously.... I was at Wegman's to grab some groceries and walked into bakery aisle, all sudden my eye caught on this box that looks just like a whoopie Pie. My first thought were "You gotta kidding me!" then started to look much closer and same time I start to get excited since it looks so fimiliar to me. Which it did because back when I was with my ex- (from PA) I would always grab those from this Amish store in Pennsylvania near his house. Those stuff are delicious even by the Amish are the CAHMP -I would say!!

My favorite whoopie pie favors are pumpkin spice, chocolate chip cookie, and red velvet cake- you gotta try them.

(Btw- didn't buy the kit- prefer make my own just like Amish style! Grin)
