Paintball on Feb 18th (Saturday night) with buncha of great College Christians from RIT and my church who are Deaf. It was totally last minute plan. Most of us were at my church for movie night 'Courageous' (MUST SEE!). The paintball even was hosted by RIT where one of friends works at. From there, we decided why not and once our life time experience going to a paintball course! However, We had wonderful and good times! This game could be consider as violent but we didn't look at this way. We used it in for a good purpose by fellowship in HIS way, we not intend to kill each other just to shoot some fun paint balls at each other. This place was taken at NVP-Paintball

Once I got up to get off course due to be hit, I got another HIT!!! right on my left kidney not too far away from first hit, seriously it was first round! Made It In The Newspapers!

Yuppers, I made it in the Norfolk Daily News again, I was also in several times during high school. This time my mom nominated me for the article which was hosting this topic “The Life of a 24 year old" from the area where I lived and grew up. They asked me questions which are shown below. I was surprised but humbled that they used three of my pictures on there from some of my travels. Find out what's in the article!

Seriously I have to admit this...God is amazing! I am speechless that I am able to say what I want in this article. I am grateful for this country where we have the 'Freedom of Speech' where I can comment about my belief. I am very excited about this opportunity!!!!

For you those who do not recieve Norfolk Daily Newpaper, here is ur opportunity to read! (click on the image it will enlarge for you!)

Hope you learned something new about me! <><

Ten on Tuesday (116)

from weheartit
FYI: I’m not good at math.

What was your best/worst day in math class?
Best: Whenever I get an A on my test or homework because math was my least favorite class. As for worst day probably do the problem wrong on the board front of the class. (haha)

Who was your favorite/least favorite math teacher? Why?
Mr. Muller, my Junior and Senior math teacher at Norfolk Senior High. He was so much fun that motivated us to learn Trigonometry and Algebra. He always pick on me and very easy to talk and understand when I ask questions. Even have time to help me out of class time. Mr. Muller used to work with me for Speed Camp for Soccer, which it was lot of fun. I wish my kids would have him for their Math teacher.

Is it okay to be bad at math if English is more your thing?
I believe so, unless your career requires knowledge of math. For instance, people who work with counting such as money, tax, and much more. However, to me English is important because we use it everyday, while some of us do not use math everyday.

How does this video make you feel?
First of all, I cannot hear and the captions sucks!!!

What do you like/not like about math?
I like math in some way because it challenges my brain and helps me develop better strategic and logical for my daily basis. One thing I don't like math when i DO NOT understand or get it! :-)

What makes someone a nerd?
I have no idea what makes someone a nerd. Sterotype that I would use is someone who are into science, reading, and not into sports, oh and very smart. Actually, the term 'nerd' does not mean anything to me just a word that describes someone who is not in sport at all to me. Fyi not intend to offense anyone!

Who is the nerdiest person you know?
I do personal cannot think of one. In the movies or shows actors that I would say are Pee Wee Herman, Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), Michael Cera, DJ Qualls.

What is the nerdiest thing you’ve ever done?
Umm I'm not sure since i grew up playing sports, not into read or studying, school was my least favorite thing to do. All i wanted to do was play sports such as soccer, golfing, softball, skiing, and wakeboarding.

Do you think GraphJam is funny?
Never heard of this but gonna check it out.

Have you ever used math outside of school?
Only the easy ones!

(February 14, 1992)

Yuppers, she was born on this day! Oh, don't you love this picture! It makes me want to go back in time and play with her while she is this little! Sad, she decided to grow up to be a lovely 20 year old lady today! I am very proud at her throughout her life, even today she is in her 2nd year of college. Emily always trying her hardest to be successful and accomplish her goals.

Sometime, I would call her brat just because she is the littlest one in the family which gets the most attention and love since she was born on February 14th!! (Joking). I love her no matter what- she always will be my SISTER!

I LOVE YOU!!!

Here is what she looks alike today!- Pretty isn't she!!

1. How do you feel about Valentine’s Day?
It's just a Holiday to me, since it's my young sister Birthday too! I care more of that than Valentine's day.
If was in relationship it might be different but at the same time we always can share valentine's day together since we are in Love!!! It's like valentine's day to us everyday and that goes for marriage too!
2. Are you in love?
Unsure... heetee
3. What is your favorite love song?
I am Deaf, I do not have any favorite song.
4. Did your parents do anything for you on Valentine’s Day when you were a child?
They would tell me they love me and get us valentine candy/pop. Since we already get plenty of junkies from school valentine's party. However, I love out of state now, they would send me card and bunchies of goodies.
Same time, it was my sister's birthday so it overlapped. Which I didn't mind since mine was on thanksgiving day. So we are in the same boat! :)
5. What is your love language? (Click here if you want to take the quiz.)Took the quiz the highest score was Quality of Time. Of course I share my love language through quality time or while we are alone. For instance, like to spend time with my love doing things we enjoy, chat to get know them better, and show them more of my affection. I also do show him how much I love him by little gifts which means lot to him. Sometime I like to send love notes in Dutch and have him, figure the love message out.
6. How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Gifts? Dinner?
It doesn't matter, important we are together! :)
7. What is your favorite flower?

No one had done anything that I see as romantic to me "yet"- which mean that strikes my heart!! As for me, I give him something that he really likes and tell him how much I really liked him.
10. How did you meet your spouse/significant other?
I am single, just ended my relationship that lasted 2 months
recently. Which I do not mind, since want to refocus on  my relationship with the Lord, what I want for sure for my career and life. However, God knows the right one for down the road. I just have to be patient and he will come anytime!
Happy Valentine’s Day

I never followed this event. However, I remember in elementary we will learned about this event and would find me just nod my head. Since I do not believe in this, only God can judge and tell what the weather will be.

2. What color are your fingernails right now?
No color. I never paint my fingernails. Anytime I apply nail polish myself, it looks so sloppy and makes me feel like my nails are suffocating. I like the natural look better. <--agree with Stephany)

Not really because my brain doesn't do well with them... haha

2 ED visits = Surgery!

Did you read the title of my post?! That's right I went into ED (Emergency Department - new name for Emergency Room (ER)) twice and ended up having surgery. Oh Joy!!!!

Two small dots on left (right for you) kidney are the Kidney Stones
It was insane from Wednesday (Jan 11) to Tuesday (Jan 17th)-- Wednesday morning I started to feel nauseated; It felt like I had a stomach virus for about 30 minutes and had warned my aunt, who I was staying with in Omaha, that I wasn't feeling well. I decided to go back to bed to lay down and popped one of my gastro pills and all of the sudden my left side started to have terrible pains, thye had me on the floor they were so bad. I felt as if I had to throw up to get rid of the nausea in my stomach but the pain was too powerful. At that moment I knew it had to be a kidney stone because I had felt the exactly same pains 2 years ago while in Baltimore and had to go to John Hopkins hospital. So, I had to call out for my aunt, while I was texting my mom who, was apx. 3 hours away, that I was in server pain.  An hour later the pain wasn't going away and my aunt decided to take me to the ED at Methodist Hospital 5 mins away. I was screaming in pain I couldn't even walk to the car I had to crawl. My mom called my younger sister who was 45 mins away to meet me there and to help interpret for me. While waiting to get into the ED (it was an extremely busy morning) I was screaming in pain-unfortunatly there were 2 gentleman there staring at me. Finally after half an hour later a nurse took me in while I was throwing up and the pain was still there. Got an iv going so they could get the pain killer into me.I was still in pain 20 mins later, so they decide to increase the pain killer and finally the pain reduced. They request a urine sample before giving me a CATscan, however I couldn't go because there was probably a stone blocking it so they had to put in acatheter just to get a sample. After getting the sample they took me into CAT- Scan and discovered I had 2-3 kidney stones in the left kidney. I remained in Fast Trac Care room till my parents arrived around 3:30. I was able to go back to my aunt's an hour later with pain killer pills to help.

Looking all good after surgery
The next day I was supposed to return to New York, but ended up having to cancel it which I was very grateful because I was not getting any better. Through out Thursday and Friday I was in mild pains in the same place, doctor told me to drink water and take pills when needed-I followed that. Ended up having the same severe pain on Saturday morning, went back to the ED and again back on IVs and retook the Cat- Scan (no catheter this time!) and found 3 or 4 stones were still there. They decided to send me home with higher mg of pain pill since there was nothing they could do about it.
Again I was still in pain on and off through out Saturday and Sunday. My parents and grandma came down to Omaha on Saturday after I was dismissed from the ED and it was nice to have them around till dad and grandma took off to a funeral Sunday in Kansas.

By Monday (16th) morning I wasn't getting any better so Mom decided to call an urologist office and was lucky enough to get in a right away. We went there met with the urologist, he gave me 3 options: try new pills, suffer through it or surgery. I was thinking for the past 5 days I was taking pills non-stop and I didn't want to go through that any more so we decide surgery was the best option. Also I was schedule to fly back on Friday 20th,so I preferred to feel better before leaving.I was lucky they were able to schedule a surgery right away for that afternoon. I went back home with a shot in the butt for the pain till surgery, OW!!

At 3:30 it was time to go into surgery,I had wonderful and helpful nurses and doctors around, which helped my mom feel more calm while she was interpreting for me. They took me into surgery to remove one stone and insert ureteral stent byUreteroscopy procedure. After surgery, I woke up from being under general anaesthesia in mild pain from the surgery in recovery room. Later they decide to put me into a regular room till i was able to urinate, eat, walk, and be pain free. I was still in pain from the surgery and had a difficult time urinating so they had me stay the night. About 7:30pm I was able to eat, I was very hungry since I had not ate for more than 24 hours. I had plain butter pasta and mashed potatoes (yummy!). I wasn't able to sleep through the night till 3-4am when I finally zonked out after the last dose of morphine and then woke up at 7am to go to the bathroom and decide I was strong enough to go home. I slept the rest of the morning and rested, mom, dad, and grandma were still around and also I had family come over to visit. Mid morning dad and grandma left to go back to Osmond while mom stayed till 2. She left after taking me for yummy cupcakes at Jones' Brothers.

So sad went into the ER again!
I remained at my aunt's until I flew back on Friday. I was sore most of the time however from the Ureteral Stent. I am so looking froward to getting it removed in about a week or so!

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers while I was going through this pain! They were much appreciate and definitely answered by our Father in Heaven along with Jesus who was stand by me all the way! :)
